JOB SUMMARY -
Responsible for overall execution of company aligned fitness strategies at the regional level. Provides support to RVP and DM team on overall strategies and tactics for Fitness growth to optimize member participation in fitness programming.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Leadership and Management
Lead execution and provide input into the strategy aligned with the needs of the region while delivering company-wide fitness initiatives.
In collaboration with RVP and regional partners, create and execute growth strategies to increase member participation in various fitness offerings (PT, group classes, small group, etc.).
Serve as subject matter expert on field fitness operations and provide consultation on district/regional strategies.
Partner with Fitness Operations team to support and execute promotional events.
Provide direction for regional fitness and group X events and trainings.
Liaison between corporate Fitness and fulfilling needs and requirements of the club business operations.
Directly manages Regional Fitness Specialist role, providing direction, coaching and development to deliver strong performance results.
Staffing and Development
Oversees and supports region/district/clubs to optimally schedule fitness department (PT, GX classes, etc.)
In partnership with field leadership and HR, drives strategic talent plans to include recruiting, staffing and talent development of personal trainers and Group X (GXI) instructors.
Consult district and club leaders on optimizing PT and GX staffing and schedules to ensure team accountability and growth.
Establishes and builds relationships with local fitness schools and affiliations to enable identification of talent for fitness/GX positions.
"Key Accountability" #3: Administration
Serve as subject matter expert for Fitness policies, procedures, rollouts and initiatives. Works cross-functionally (Fitness, HR, Ops, etc.) to provide input and guidance for region as needed.
Visit clubs to assess operational effectiveness and provide input and consultation.
Directly manages the Regional Fitness Specialist and reports to the Sr. Director, Fitness Execution & Experience

Minimum Educational Level/Certifications
§ Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent work experience
§ Certification in fitness, personal training or group exercise
Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications
§ 3-5 years of progressive management experience supervising employees
§ Experience managing in the fitness or club industry preferred
§ Multi-unit management preferred
Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions
§ May be required to work at a computer or on phone for extended periods
§ Must be able to work extended hours (nights and weekends) on occasion
May require up to 75% travel via car and plane
Must be able to sit, stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day
