The Paralegal performs legal and project management tasks necessary to support and assist Legal Department attorneys and senior paralegal regarding trademark monitoring and enforcement. This position may also complete additional work supporting Compliance Membership, and Litigation.


Estimated % of Time Spent

  • Work with outside counsel to create, maintain, and protect trademark portfolio

  • Develop processes and procedures to organize and manage trademark matters.

  • Assist with policing efforts to prevent and stop third party infringements of trademarks, including reviewing watch notices, submitting online take-down requests, and instructing outside counsel and vendors.

  • Assist in preparing UDRP submissions

  • Perform trademark clearance searches, including preliminary and comprehensive searches

  • Under direction of attorney, provide support for a variety of Compliance, Corporate Governance, Membership, or other legal areas - related documentation and projects.

  • Monitors and assesses high priority inquiries for audit and legal compliance.

  • Assists with business reorganizations; prepares and analyzes documentation necessary for general release agreements.

  • Researches law, investigates facts and prepares documents for attorneys.

  • Researches and analyzes law sources such as statutes, recorded decisions and legal codes to prepare legal documents such as government agency responses, declarations, general release and settlement agreements for review, approval and use by attorney.

  • Support cross-over projects within the Legal Department in support of Corporate and GC functions, on as needed basis.





This person has no direct reports. This person reports to VP, Assistant General Counsel and is a critical team player who works with Corporate Counsel, senior paralegals, outside counsel, and other Company business functions as needed.

Minimum Educational Level/Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal experience note below

Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in a law firm, corporate or government legal department, or other similar environment.

Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions

  • This role is performed in a standard office environment.
