The General Manager (GM) Coaches Program is designed to provide Department Heads with the opportunity to further develop your skills as a manager and to better position you to advance your career with 24 Hour Fitness.

This posting is for all qualified Department Heads interested in the GM Coaches Program. This is not a new job/position. This is a training program and it is meant to be completed in conjunction with your current responsibilities in the club.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a participant in the GM Coaches Program at 24 Hour Fitness, you will have the opportunity to develop the skills needed to coach, lead, and train an exceptional team while running a profitable, clean, friendly, and well-maintained club. It is a comprehensive learning program that incorporates both in-club and out-of-club learning experiences.

Job Essential Skills: The learning experience during these first few weeks will take place in the club. You will complete a series of management and department-specific modules that will walk you through hands-on and on-the-job activities to help you develop the skills needed to be an effective GM. You will be given a GM Coaches Program Binder and Journal to help you stay organized. You'll complete a quiz at the end of each module and meet with a GM Mentor, who will be assigned to you by your DM and AHPM, and DM weekly to validate learning. You'll also receive feedback and support on your progress. You must complete all Job Essential Skills modules in order to be eligible to attend Leadership Training Camp.

Simulation Assessment: Once you have completed the Job Essential Skills training, you will take part in a Simulation Assessment exercise. This experience will be conducted in a club chosen by your District Manager (DM) and provide you with the opportunity to spend one week practicing the business acumen skills you need to run a financially successful club. After your simulation experience you will report out to your GM Mentor, DM and AHPM. You must pass the Simulation Assessment and gain approval from your DM and AHPM in order to be eligible to attend Leadership Training Camp.

Leadership Training Camp: The Leadership Training Camp is a 4-day instructor-led workshop designed to develop your business, people, and personal leadership capabilities, calibrate your in-club learning experience and bring to life our Company culture and values.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, skills & abilities

ü Understand the business and your role in execution.

ü Effective at managing time resources.

ü Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

ü Displays a high level of organization and process management.

ü High sense of ownership.

Minimum certifications/educational level

ü High School diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.).

ü Completed all required 24 Hour Fitness training for current role.

Minimum requirements

ü 6+ months in a department head (DH) role at a 24 Hour Fitness club.

ü 2+ years of management experience (or Associate degree/Bachelor's degree).

ü Not on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) in the last 90 days.

PREFERRED

ü Currently working on an Individual Development Plan (IDP) or Personal GPS.

ü Previous experience in similar role.

ü Personal training certifications (example, NASM).

ü Willing to relocate for future opportunities.
