JOB SUMMARY -
The Fitness Operations Manager drives business process improvement and supports the field organization with operational guidelines designed to improve the effectiveness and execution of fitness programs, process and procedures. This role collaborates cross-functionally to create a great team member and member experience through planning, communication, program and project management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Fitness Operational Management
Supports creation of and delivers against the fitness operations strategic initiatives, programs and processes that drive business results.
Manages the fitness operations function, including design, development, implementation and maintenance of process, procedures and training.
Document, develop and continually refine fitness policies, procedures and processes, ensuring consistent alignment to fitness strategy.
Design implementation of policy and process with a focus on sustainability and efficient execution, using innovative approaches where necessary to maximize adoption.
Identify, plan, organize and manage multiple, parallel projects and initiatives.
Work cross-functional with other fitness teams or departments to implement, manage and maximize fitness initiatives.
Fitness Systems and Tools
Manage fitness systems, tools and scheduling resources to support fitness operations and ensure consistent effectiveness.
Measure effectiveness of fitness programs, systems, tools and procedures, and recommend solutions for continuous improvement.
Manage enterprise functionality of Fitness Scheduling System (FSS), including class names, descriptions, instructor roles, profiles, etc.
Develop tools and support resources for labor management in partnership with Club Operations
Create and audit reporting to continuously analyze the overall health of all fitness offerings, in partnership with the fitness analyst.
The Manager, Fitness Operations reports to the Director, Fitness Operations and does not have any direct reports.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
§ Knowledge of the fitness business and practices.
§ Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to develop partnerships at all level of the organization.
§ Experience leading simultaneous complex projects from inception to completion.
§ Demonstrated high level of integrity and the ability to manage through ambiguity with perseverance and resiliency.
Minimum Educational Level/Certifications
§ Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications
§ 3+ years of progressive experience in operations or fitness management.
§ Experience managing product implementation.
§ Project management experience preferred.
Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions
§ Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
§ Must be able to work extended hours on occasion.
§ Regularly required to work standard office equipment.
- Travel to club and corporate offices up to 25% of time.
FUNCTIONAL GROUP Fitness
