The Allocation Analyst is the key position for meeting the needs of our members by ensuring the right product is in the right clubs prior to need. The Allocation Analyst ensures all clubs are properly stocked and replenished to maximize core assortment sales and multiple high-volume promotions throughout the month. The Allocation Analyst can often make over 200,000 SKU/location allocation decisions each week. This position is responsible for the delivery of distribution plans for all new items and programs. This position coordinates the allocation and timing of all inventory deliveries for new club openings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES Estimated % of Time Spent
- Reporting, Analysis, and Distribution Prep
Recap and report daily, weekly and monthly metrics providing insights and highlighting strategic opportunities.
Maintain and manage High / Med / Low volume analysis. Drives TOP Club allocation strategies.
Execute, audit and review posting of DC to club transfers to insure timely and accurate assignment of inventory to the clubs.
Post inventory updates to the weekly order forecast report to insure on-order and actual inventory are current.
- Product Allocation
Perform daily and weekly review and allocation of inventory to clubs to ensure in-stocks that support both every day and promotional sales needs. Shares potential issues to the Planning Manager and Planners for respective categories and takes action.
Determine club inventory management standards to replenish clubs with both promotional and everyday inventory needs and supports promotional prep and turnover goals.
Perform weekly and monthly club level data analysis to identify factors influencing pro shop performance.
Assessment of club membership traffic based metrics.
Identification and action planning to address club level sales trends by merchandise category.
Manage all reorder points and site groupings that drive replenishment.
Create and maintain product distribution strategy and templates for new and remodel clubs in partnership with Category Management, Planning, Logistics and Club Operations.
Maintain in-stock standards. Create and reports out weekly on in-stock performance.
Deliver club in-stock goals for assigned categories through effective and consistent DC inventory availability and category level turnover budget.
- Promotional Event Planning
Focus closely on pre-planning promotional events. Perform a "bottoms up" need by club to support planner's purchase of product.
Identify missed sales from historical comparative events and proposes alternate sales forecast for purchase where necessary.
Report inventory levels by SKU and location during events and reports and adjusts allocation strategy based on business results.
Manage post event inventory recovery. Give recommendations on additional promotional support based on event outcome and inventory position.
- Team Support/Administrative Duties
Partner with and supports Retail Specialist.
Support Retail Operations communication mailboxes related to shipping and in-stocks.
Assist with various ad-hoc projects.
Complete reports and documentation. 10%

Minimum Educational Level/Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree -- preferred business.
Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications
2+ years of centralized merchandise distribution experience.
5+ years of experience in allocation, analysis and/or merchandise planning.
Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions
Work is performed in a standard office environment without unpleasant or hazardous conditions. Work entails typical physical demands involved in office work.
Regularly required to work standard office equipment (personal computer, photocopy machine, etc.).
Ability to work on a computer up to 8 hours a day.
Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally stand and walk.
Close vision required for computer usage.
Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb and lift up to 20 pounds.
