Job Description Overview: The Service Expert (SE) provides customer service support to the gym Primary Holders, Designated Users and Guests, while also contributing to the sales and lead generation of the gym. This is an hourly position that is considered to be Non Exempt. This position reports to the General Manager (GM).
Promotes and administers Fit Pass Sales for the gym.
Generates leads and referrals for sales opportunities.
Participates in Grass Roots efforts and any additional marketing opportunities for the gym.
Keeps the HUB and surrounding areas orderly and clean.
Greets all incoming Primary Account Holders, Designated Users and Guests.
Follows all check in procedures.
Answer all incoming inquiries and obtain appropriate information to direct/transfer calls.
Clean and organize lobby, weight and cardio areas.
Re-rack all equipment and weights.
Handle all customer service inquiries to include, but not limited to: Lost and Found, new or replacement Fit Pass cards, change of customer profile information, etc.
Maintain a daily Service Recovery Log, citing all customer concerns/inquiries.
Maintain a daily Lost and Found log for all items and/or inquiries from customers.
Maintain a daily Maintenance Log, recording any equipment, facility and janitorial issues that need attention.
Any additional tasks or responsibilities noted by GM to ensure proper operational and financial success of the gym.
Bi-lingual strongly preferred (Spanish / English).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including proper telephone etiquette.
Able to generate, maintain and demonstrate a friendly, upbeat, enthusiastic and positive attitude.
Possess a strong customer service focus that places us above the rest.
Responds professionally to requests and inquiries from guests, members and staff.
Understands and follow oral and written instructions.
Communicates clearly and concisely.
Possesses strong organizational skills.
Understands basic record keeping practices and procedures.
High School Diploma or GED required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Certifications from an approved organization.
While performing the duties of this job, the SE is regularly required to stand, walk, and
talk or hear. The SE frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
objects, or telephone. The SE must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and
frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
