FULL-TIME Full-time



The Manager of Talent Acquisition provides input to and implements the strategy, staffing policies and practices for corporate and field recruiting at 24 Hour Fitness. This position is responsible for providing leadership to the Talent Acquisition team as well as building and maintaining collaborative relationships with business partners throughout the organization to ensure objectives are met. This role is a player-coach and will source and screen passive candidates, review applicants, coach hiring managers on staffing best practices, and develop staffing strategies while building and leveraging talent networks to generate leads.


Applicant Lead Generation

  • Analyze each functional market area and determine applicant lead needs to develop a cost-effective recruitment strategy.

  • Act as a Talent Acquisition business partner to hiring managers and HRBP teams to advise and develop a recruitment strategy to address staffing needs.

  • Screen applications, determine which candidates proceed in process and efficiently fill open positions.

  • Provide full-cycle recruiting support to include sourcing candidates, conducting phone screens, setting up interviews, and extending offers.

  • Provide feedback to hiring managers regarding applicant availability, local market conditions, and competitor and candidate feedback on pay and benefit packages.

  • Effectively manage the sourcing of different position's profiles and market locations as assigned.

  • Manage and maintain diversity strategy to attract a diverse workforce to the company. 50%

Leadership and Partnership

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a team to deliver on staffing expectations, implement creative solutions to staffing challenges, partner effectively with hiring managers and business partners, and provide world-class service.

  • Lead staffing best practices and rollouts for Recruiters and HR teams.

  • Develop and monitor critical metrics for recruiting effectiveness and support accountability systems for Recruiting.

  • Build relationships and work cross-functionally with various internal and external partners.

  • Provide coaching on applicant sourcing and recruiting, behavioral-based interviewing, selection and on-boarding to field management and HR partners.

  • Drive operational excellence and compliance. 30%

Recruiting Strategies

  • Provide input to and implement highly effective, results-driven recruiting strategies and lead field activities for acquiring talent.

  • Guide creation and implementation of process and policies pertaining to Recruiting.

  • Maintain candidate and hire quality by leading productive and innovative sourcing, effective screening, interview, and pre-hire processes.

  • Influence a companywide staffing process that supports succession planning and talent calibration.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of recruiting trends, issues, and labor laws with short and long-term implications.

  • Create forecasting tools based on staffing needs.

  • Set high recruitment standards and increase the strength of the leadership pipeline. 20%

The Manager of Talent Acquisition leads a team comprised of recruiters and TA support roles and works closely with vendors related to staffing and recruiting. This role also partners closely with HR Leadership, particularly in determining headcount and staffing needs, and provides advice to the hiring managers and HRBP teams regarding the Talent Acquisition cycle.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience utilizing Boolean Logic searches, cold calling, leveraging user/interest groups, and various other creative sourcing strategies to identify passive candidates.

  • Ability to create interest and excitement about the opportunity with candidates during the interview process.

  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems and sourcing channels.

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Working knowledge of onboarding system, applicant tracking system, background check, social media, and recruitment process workflow.

Minimum Educational Level/Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.

Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Recruiting experience.

  • 2+ years of experience driving recruiting strategies and initiatives across large groups and organizations.

Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions

  • May be required to work at a computer or on the phone for extendedperiods.

  • Must be able to work extended hours (e.g., nights and weekends) on occasion.

Travel Requirement

  • Requires 10% travel by car and/or airplane.

  • Overnight travel may be required.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of relocation programs.

  • Knowledge of immigration employment laws.

Educational Level/Certifications

  • SHRM Certified Professional (PHR) or Senior Professional (SPHR).

Work Experience and Qualification

  • Experience building and leading a strong recruiting team.

  • Experience in large-scale and multi-state organizations.

  • Experience building and optimizing recruitment infrastructure.

  • Experience using ADP Recruiting Management applicant tool.
