JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for conducting financial and strategic analysis and presenting findings to support the overall company's financial results. This position works on the annual financial budgets, completes financial forecasts, and interfaces with senior management in the process of completing these deliverables. This position may also process work related to project management and/or participate in continuous improvement around internal process management and tools to enhance department capabilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES Estimated % of Time Spent

Analysis and Processes Management

  • Support the annual budget process, reporting, and forecasting for the assigned area of responsibility.

  • Conduct ongoing analysis of key business drivers within assigned area of support and relate findings to management and business partners.

  • Assist leaders in performing month end close variance analysis to budget and forecast, identify trends and communicate results.

  • Support Business and Finance Directors with data sourcing, model building, and club-allocation methodologies in assigned area of responsibility.

  • Partner with business owners to gain understanding of actual trends and communicate forecast projections. 75%

Project Support

  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis in supported area as directed by FP&A management.

  • Participate in special projects targeted at improvement of internal or partner focused processes and business performance.

  • Work closely with Finance personnel and business partners to identify and maximize opportunities, improve product, service and business processes.

  • Leverage analytics to support work with leaders to identify and implement strategies that will address tactical and strategic goals. 25%

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS

The Financial Analyst will report to the Sr. Manager FP&A. This position will be in regular contact with Accounting and partner with various business units within assigned area of responsibility and across the company.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong finance and accounting background.

  • Good research skills.

  • Extensive financial modeling experience.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Demonstrate initiative in problem solving.

  • Proficient in MS Office products with special emphasis on mastery of Excel and financial modeling.

Minimum Educational Level/Certifications

  • BS/BA with a focus in finance or accounting (or equivalent experience) is preferred.

Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications

  • 2+ years in Finance or related experience.

Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions

  • Work is performed in a standard office environment without unpleasant or hazardous conditions. Work entails typical physical demands involved in office work.

  • Regularly required to work standard office equipment (personal computer, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).

  • Ability to work on a computer up to 7 hours a day.

  • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally stand and walk.

  • Close vision required for computer usage.

  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb and lift up to 20 pounds.

Travel Requirement

  • Limited - 2-3 times per year for in person trainings and events
